    Common questions about KöR Whitening:
How white will my teeth get?

KöR Whitening Deep BleachingTM System produces dramatic results. We track your progress with our whitening scale and have seen lightening of 16 shades or more.

Will my teeth look too white or unnatural?

No. Bleaching cannot make teeth look unnatural. You may have seen people with ultra-white or fake-looking teeth. These were probably dentures or teeth with crowns or veneers that were made to be too white and too opaque. We work with each patient to get the shade or degree of lightening that is right for you.

    Can you whiten tetracycline-stained teeth?

    How does the system work?

We will actually make molds of your teeth. These molds are used to create custom-fit, ultra-comfortable whitening trays. The trays are worn while you sleep for up to two weeks. We’ll monitor your progress along the way. We will discuss additional in-office procedure to complete the process.

Why is KöR Whitening better than other bleaching products?

Our system restores your teeth’s ability to absorb oxygen and helps the gel go deep into the tooth. This science allows the stains to be dissolved in a more complete way.

How long does KöR Whitening last?

Unlike other products on the market, our system is permanent. Occasional home maintenance is required for those who continue to drink or eat foods with staining potential. Coffee, tea, smoking, and red wine will have no effect with periodic home treatments.

    Is the process safe?

All of our products have gone through clinical studies and have been safely used and tested on millions of patients.

    Is there any pain?

You’ve probably heard stories about other systems that are painful or create uncomfortable sensitivity during bleaching. The gel used in the KöR Whitening Deep BleachingTM System, in most cases, produces no or low sensitivity. If you experience any sensitivity, test patients report feeling no more than 10% of the sensitivity they felt from other whitening gels.

    Does my age matter?

The ideal age for teeth bleaching is 14. The younger the teeth, the more brilliant they whiten and accept the process. Adult smiles can be whitened incredibly well with patients as old as 90.

Will veneers, crowns or fillings whiten?

No. If you have any of these on the front of your teeth, they will need to be replaced after whitening to insure the best smile. We will discuss the process during your first visit. It may be necessary to consider replacement of older restorations depending upon how dark they become compared to your new lighter natural teeth.

Are the trays uncomfortable and will the gel leak out?

No. The KöR Whitening Deep BleachingTM System trays are thin and form fitting. You’ll forget you have them on. The design of the trays seal the gel inside, preventing it from leaking into your mouth. You’ll wear the trays while you sleep so the process does not interfere with your day.

      Frequently Asked Questions

Is it normal for teeth to feel sensitive after whitening?

Yes. Professional teeth whitening can increase your teeth’s sensitivity to cold and hot temperatures. This is temporary and should dissipate in about two days. Brushing your teeth with a toothpaste designed for sensitive teeth in the days following the whitening treatment can help ease any discomfort.

How do you whiten your teeth?

Teeth whitening treatments, both at home and at your dentist’s office, can help remove any stains and give your teeth their white color back. Taking steps on your own can help, like stopping smoking, reducing your consumption of certain foods and beverages known for staining, etc. But this won’t help remove the stains that are already there. Talk to your dentist about a professional whitening treatment, such as KöR Whitening Deep Bleaching, to remove the prior stains and help transform your smile.

      Can a dentist whiten teeth?

Yes. You can purchase teeth whitening kits at your local drugstores and grocery stores, but they are not nearly as effective as the teeth whitening treatments you will get at the dentist.

If you are seeking noticeable results, then you need a dentist to whiten your teeth.

How often can you whiten your teeth?

With many teeth whitening procedures, it is recommended that you use them once per year. However, the KöR Whitening Deep Bleaching system is different. A mold will be created for you to use at home for 14 consecutive nights. Then, you will have an in-office whitening procedure. Following that, you will use the gel once per month to maintain your bright white smile.

Keep in mind that this may vary from person to person. Your dentist will discuss your whitening options for you so that you get the best results.

Can your teeth be too white?

No. Your teeth can’t get too white from whitening treatments or bleaching. They will get as white as they should be, but nothing more.

How long will the results of teeth whitening last?

The KöR Whitening Deep Bleaching system is one of the longest-lasting whitening treatments. It takes time to see the results, but they last for anywhere from 6 months to three years. Once the whitening treatment is done, you can help maintain the results by avoiding things that will cause staining.
