The doctors and team at Savannah Dental Solutions are pleased to be able to offer beautiful smiles to their neighbors in Savannah and the surrounding communities.
Chad Schnabel, DMD
Chad Schnabel DMD, received his bachelor’s degree at Bowling Green State University in 2004, his dental degree at the Medical University of South Carolina in 2009, and his general practice residency at Richland Memorial Hospital in Columbia, SC in 2010.
Dr. Schnabel has completed over 1000 hours of continuing education since his residency. His postgraduate education has focused on cosmetic/implant dentistry with IV sedation, “teeth in a day” and “all on four procedures”. He also offers orthodontics through clear aligners, TMJ therapy, sleep apnea and snoring treatment. All these procedures allow him to personalize solutions for a wide variety of oral issues and overcome years of neglect to bring a youthful smile back to life. Almost all of our patients are word of mouth referrals based on positive experiences in the office for over the last 10 years.
Dr. Schnabel has been an active participant in the community, volunteering as a community care mentor and Deacon at Compassion Christian Church. He has served on Christian mission trips to third-world countries to LaGonave, Haiti and Quito, Ecuador. He and his wife Alexandra have four beautiful children, and in his spare time, he enjoys spending time with them coaching or watching their sports as their biggest fans. Dr. Chad has a passion for high school ministry at Compassion as he has led youth groups there for over 10 years with some of his best friends. Dr. Chad is a big Ohio State and Cincinnati Bengals fan, and enjoys watching games whenever he can. The light of his life Dr. Alex was a tennis player at UGA from 2000-2004, so he has become a Bulldog fan as well. Alex has always been his best friend and biggest supporter.
“My favorite part of being a dentist is getting to know people and their families over the years. Seeing people every 4-6 months allows us to get to know them on a personal level like family and grow up alongside them. I enjoy the process of meeting patients who have had bad dental experiences and watching our team’s compassion and sedation expertise ease the anxiety for future dental visits. I feel like God has called me to this profession, and I blessed to be surrounded by people that make me excited to come into work each day.”
Alex Schnabel, DMD
Alexandra Schnabel, DMD, earned her bachelor of science degree at the University of Georgia. She then attended the Medical University of South Carolina College of Dental Medicine, where she graduated at the top of her class. Dr. Schnabel was selected to be in Omicron Kappa Epsilon, an elite dental honor society. She also earned awards in cosmetic dentistry.
Dr. Schnabel feels blessed to be a wife and mom to two wonderful boys and two incredible girls. She has participated in mission trips to several Third World countries and appreciates the opportunity to be a Sunday school teacher for the 2- and 3-year-olds at her church. Though she no longer plays the level of tennis that earned her first team All-SEC honors while competing at the University of Georgia, she still enjoys tennis with her husband. Dr. Schnabel also enjoys supporting her two sons and two daughters play several different sports. In addition to being a wonderful mom, a champion tennis player, Dr. Schnabel enjoys being on the water and has recently taken up bread making.
