Digital Technology for Dental X-rays
Our X-rays are taken with digital technology, which results in 75% less radiation than the former method of film X-rays. There is no waiting time and no use of polluting chemicals to produce an image. It is quick and easy and makes any procedure less time consuming. A digital sensor is placed in your mouth and an image is available immediately on our computer screen. With panoramic digital imaging, both the upper and lowers jaws can be viewed in their entirety.
Worried about Knocking Out a Tooth?
There is a great risk of knocking out teeth when playing sports, and in the United States alone 5 million teeth are lost each year. This injury can be avoided with the use of proper mouth protection. There are one-size-fits-all mouthguards available in stores, but they do not give a good custom fit. They often interfere with efficient breathing during exertion and may not provide suitable protection. We offer custom-made mouthguards that will protect your teeth and allow you to breathe easily. They guard your teeth for any sport and are recommended by the American Dental Association for the following sports:
Acrobatics, basketball, boxing, field hockey, soccer, gymnastics, handball, ice hockey, martial arts, racquetball, roller hockey, rugby, skateboarding, skiing, skydiving, lacrosse, squash, football, surfing, volleyball, water polo, shotputting, weight lifting, and wrestling.
Defeat Gum Disease Painlessly
It is very important to treat gum disease in the early stages. In the advanced stages, teeth can be lost due to infection, and gum disease is the number one cause of tooth loss. Our doctors use the latest advancements in fighting this infection. With ARESTIN™, invisible microspheres of antibiotics in powder form are released directly to the infection, killing the bacteria to let your gums return to a healthy state. You will be pleased to know the process is painless.
Information on Patient Dental Care
No matter what procedure you are scheduled to undergo, you will have questions. We know that in order for our patients to feel comfortable with the work that needs to be done, you need clear, informative answers. If you are not familiar with the treatment, you may not know what to ask. That’s why we have the CAESY™ information program. It is a video system available in our office that provides comprehensive information on every aspect of dental care for children and adults.
Saying Goodbye to “Fat Lips” or Numbness after Treatment!
Your comfort after a procedure is as important to us as your comfort while the procedure is being performed. That is why we offer OraVerse™ to patients who don’t like their face to be numb for hours after treatment. Taking this amazing product after the completion of a procedure will reverse the effects of the anesthetic in about fifteen minutes. No more having to speak or eat with “fat” lips. Your mouth can now be back to normal in just minutes.
What is Xylitol?
As part of our care, we recommend certain products that will help to preserve your teeth, gums, and overall health. Xylitol is a natural substance produced by our bodies and also found in berries, fruits, and vegetables. Clinical tests have shown that xylitol is the best sweetener in foods, as those who consume products with this sweetener have fewer cavities. Many dental associations in Europe have endorsed its use in products and consumption by patients. Our doctors encourage our patients to use xylitol products. As an added benefit, it also decreases problems with allergies and contributes to better respiratory health.
Intra-Oral Technology Makes You a Part of the Team
We want you to be well informed about the condition of your teeth, and with the intra-oral camera, you can see for yourself what teeth need work and which ones are just fine. This amazing technology uses a miniature device placed inside your mouth to give a clear picture of all your teeth. With these images, you can be assured the right decisions are made for your best oral health.
